I think they do a pretty good job at keeping the servers up for 23 hours a day as it is, so why don't you cut them some slack?

That pic is most certainly sick. It's nowhere near fun, not even amusing...but I'm sure it draws a lot of attention and that's probably why you display it on pub forums.
Obviously some people's connections to their humour centre went down at the same time as CCP's network. I'm also assuming you wouldn't know a joke if in instalogged in and ganked your brain.

I genuinely think its a good idea though. Too bad my cat commited suicide after I tried to poison him with fish (PS: Poison didn't work but he almost choked on a bone).
I'm with you on that one, Viceroy. I guess I'm just not a cat person (and by that, I mean if I saw one on fire, I wouldn't **** on him to put him out.)

Originally by: Deathsoul Not ewen possible to change skills, goin to the country and now i loose 3 days of trainin, maby you guys can ask some of your dudes to start skill for me.
After all i pay for some service and it can not be server fee, then i would have to ask " for what server ?"
This is NO good on holyday all ower and in most countrys, ppl want to use theyr night off to play, not to be part of some dovn/up test, SAY SOMTHING MABY TO YOUR GOD DAMN CUSTOMERS, whats the prob ?
They've already said what the problem was and if you weren't so ignorant and lazy to look through this thread, you would find the answer. You can log in, albeit for a short period of time so change your skill in this time window and stop whinging.

Oh believe me, I am neither a jerk, nor do I have my finger in 'the a**'. I do, however, have the intelligence to check when the server comes back up for those 5 minutes so I can collect my stuff and dock before it goes down again. Maybe you should try it my way and stop complaining.

Originally by: Anev Grrr.... What a way to learn the game. Been here four days, having fun. Managed to sneak into a couple low security areas and mine, ran out savely but bruised... I was so proud.
Went out hunting with a friend and for some reason couldn't stop targetting him and after several attempts, I sent my drones off to battle but before I realized what was happening (stupid warning message must have clicked yes on the commit a crime ) I was attacking my friend.
He was taking a pounding so we warped out once I stopped firing on him. We get back to a base and then the cops show up... BLOW me out of the water and send me a nice email about it.

I'd rather not have a rollback and lose both 4 hours of skillpoints and all the ore I managed to mine in between CTDs and gain nothing out of rolling it back. Yup, I'm just selfish.

Originally by: Ayur Well, being selfish is one thing, but think if you were one of the unlucky ones that lost your ship to this problem. I don't know about you, but 4 hours of skills isn't worth the trouble of losing a ship, failing an agent mission, and other inconviences. Just consider that before you think only of yourself. Thanks.
I did think of that actually. Losng a ship, failing an agent mission and other inconviences are all fixable by CCP, if they do decide to replace the ships, modules, standings etc that were affected by the network problems. Afaik, getting skill points back after a roll back isn't possible. This is my main argument as to why I don't think there should be a roll back and I'm sure there are people who would agree with me, just as there are people who would agree with you, so let us agree to disagree

Sorry, when that becomes legally binding, let me know.
I am legally protected from this kinda of behaviour by the fact that I can choose to not agree with the EULA and not use the software. Therefore the EULA doesn't come into effect as it is only Terms and conditions for playing the software, not a legally binding contract for someone who has purchased game time.
Because EVE asks me to agree to the EULA when it starts, it means I can choose to disagree with it WHENEVER I want.
Luckily, I don't want to cancel my account :)
Why would you buy game time for a game that you refuse to play?
